LSU has provided me with so many opportunities to be involved in our community and serve as a leader. Here are some of the positions and roles I have held in various student organizations.
Public Relations Student Society of America
President · Pro Member Award · Perfect Attendance Award
August 2021 -- May 2025
With over 200 members, PRSSA equips students with PR skills they can carry later on in their professional careers. As a leader of this organization, I helped increase membership by 100 students, organized meetings, managed social media accounts and our website, and represented PRSSA in conferences and panels. I also led the board of officers and coordinated with our faculty advisors. Under my leadership, we were nominated for the Outstanding Student Organization of the Year Award at the 2024 LSU Love Purple Live Gold Awards.
Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority
Scholarship Committee · Archivist Committee · Fundraising
August 2021 -- May 2025
Kappa Alpha Theta is the first organization I joined in college, and it has challenged me to grow and become the leader I am today. I've participated in several committees throughout the years, such as the scholarship committee, where I help plan study events and help sisters with tutoring, and the archivist committee, where I organized and filed old documents and albums. I have also contributed to fundraising efforts that raised over $75,000 for our philanthropy, Capital Area CASA, which provides advocates in court for children going through the foster care system.
Greekwide Greek Christian Community
Bible Study Leader
August 2021 -- May 2025
I joined Greekwide my freshman year to stay connected with my faith and be part of a like-minded group of Christian women. I attended the freshman Bible study my freshman year, and in my sophomore year, I co-led the freshman Bible study in my sorority house. I have led outreach efforts within my sorority and on campus to help grow our organization. I continue to be part of this community and attend the upperclassmen Bible studies.
Panhellenic Council
Recruitment Counsellor
August 2024
I was selected by the LSU Panhellenic Council to serve as a recruitment counsellor, or Gamma Chi, for the 2024 Formal Fall Recruitment. I led a group of 14 girls through recruitment, explaining the process, guiding them to the houses, and providing emotional support along the way. This experience tested my time-management skills, as I had a tight schedule to follow and had to make calls and meet with the girls every day, but it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my time in college.
LSU Student Government
Latin Caucus Founding Member
January -- May 2025
I was selected to be one of the founding members of LSU Student Government's first Latin Caucus. Our mission is to represent the Latin and Hispanic voices on campus. Order of Omega
Greek Honor Society
April 2024 -- May 2025
Order of Omega is an undergraduate Greek honor society that recognizes students who have attained a high standard of scholarship, leadership, and involvement within their Greek, campus, and local communities. I was inducted into this prestigious organization the spring of my junior year.
