Research
I always like finding answers to questions, like a detective trying to figure out a mystery. Research is finding out the "why" in the most simple or complex questions. I have learned valuable research skills during my time at LSU which I have been able to apply in various projects.

"Le Dix-huitième Arrondissement"
May - July 2023
When studying abroad in Paris, France, I researched the history and culture of the 18th District, also known as "le dix-huitième arrondissement," and produced a video capturing the iconic locations for the final project of my intermediate French class.
Here's a short clip of my video.
"Religions and Places of Worship in Paris"
May - July 2023
I conducted qualitative research on the influence of religion in Parisian architecture for my anthropology class when I studied abroad in Paris, France. I practiced the primary research skills of field notation and participant observation.

Research Assistant
November 2023 -- January 2024
I worked as a research assistant for Dr. Pearce Edwards in the Political Science Department at LSU. I conducted research in Latin American politics, as well as assisted in Spanish-to-English translation work. My role included reading articles in Spanish and writing short summaries of them in English, as well as editing surveys written in Spanish for accurate translation.
Independent Research
August 2024 - May 2025
I am currently working on my Honors Thesis in the Upper Division Honors Program of the Ogden Honors College. This project spans both semesters of my senior year, and my research focuses on the impact student voter registration can have on voter turnout based on SEC campuses. My thesis will be finalized by May of 2025, after which I hope to share it on this portfolio.
